Aeration and Overseed
Lawn Aeration Service
Aerating your lawn is the #1 thing you can do for your turf’s health! Don’t skip another year, let’s get your lawn on our schedule so you can enjoy a thicker, healthier lawn for years to come.
Core Lawn Aeration
Core aerating a lawn refers to running an aeration machine over the lawn. The aeration machine has tines, as shown below, which pull ‘plugs’ or ‘cores’ from the soil surface. Water and nutrients can then more easily reach the roots of the grass plants, not to mention it makes it much easier for the roots to expand as the surrounding soil has just been de-compacted.

When is the best time to aerate?
The best time to aerate your lawn is from late September through early November in Southwest Ohio.
Lawn Overseeding Service
Big thanks to Jamie’s Landscaping and Garden Center for supplying us with the high quality Lesco Turf Type Tall Fescue and Bluegrass grass seed mix we overseed our lawns with.
Please remember to water after you seed your lawn or have a service seed your lawn. Grass seed and young grass should be treated with care and attention if you expect great results!

Entire Lawn Overseeding
After a lawn aeration service, it is the perfect time to spread grass seed over your lawn. Grass seed needs ‘seed to soil’ contact to allow it to germinate. Since the aeration process just poked thousands, literally thousands, of holes in your lawn, it is the perfect time to overseed!

Bare Spot Seeding Service
Along with overseeding your entire lawn after an aeration service, we can also spend a little more time and apply more grass seed to bare spots as needed.
